The new movie "Journey To Mythica" opens May 27 at Legoland Florida Resort.

Legoland Florida Resort will debut a new movie, “Lego Mythica — Journey To Mythica,” in its Fun Town Theater starting May 27.

The movie, described as 4D, includes an augmented-reality experience in Miniland USA.

“Lego Mythica” presents a parallel universe created by the power of children’s imaginations, Legoland said in a news release. Creatures built by kids from Lego bricks become reality in the separate dimension.

The movie follows Bobs, described as “a courageous little Alicorn,” on a journey into Mythica. He experiences enchanted forests, raging seas, hidden caves, fire and ice. In the process, he escapes the Chimera, soars with Maximus the Sky Lion and splashes with Duo the Hydra while discovering his true powers, the release said.

Legoland is also offering an augmented-reality scavenger hunt in Miniland, in which families work together to find the creatures from the movie and save Mythica by inspiring kids to create again. Capturing seven hidden creatures in Miniland yields digital trading cards.

The AR experience is available by downloading the free Legoland Florida app. Miniland will reopen for the summer before construction resumes on a previously announced shade structure.

The movie and scavenger hunt are included in the price of admission.
